Course Testimonials

This was the best CEE course I've taken so far. I will be using a great deal of what I learned here in my classes. Thank YOU!

Now we have studied something extremely valuable to the modern day instructor. I can relate to this training completely.. Thank you...

I think this course should be required for ALL instructors to take at the beginning of their teaching career. It was very helpful in ways I can engage Gen Y learners.

This was very helpful and thought provoking.

I liked the overall content and think the subject is very pertinent.

I found this class very relevant and interesting. It gave me greater insight into Generation Y. Based on this information, I will be able to modify some of my instructional methods, to enhance their effectiveness. The interaction with my peers assured me that other instructors share the same challenges and concerns as I.

This course was extremely helpful for me personally due to the fact that our student population is mainly Gen Y.

This is a great course for understanding the mindset of this generation of new learners. I strongly recommend this course to all instructors.

Very educational and insightful. Thanks!

This is the best course I have seen describing all the different categories of learners, from Veterans to Baby boomers, Gen X and to Gen Y.

Thank you!! GREAT material!

Great course with wonderful tips and ideas for activities. Thank you!

Excellent course which reinforced a lot of notions I had about teaching students from varied generations.

A very educational tool that will impact my interactions with all generations of active student learners.

GREAT information for anyone working in environments populated with multiple generations!

I am enjoying the ED117 course. I found the information interesting for not only for the purposes of classroom strategy and activity development but also for my own personal reflection. Recently, I attended a local Human Resources Management Society meeting. The speaker's topic was the Generation Y group. He challenged the audience to consider not labeling any individual as part of a generational group. Rather, one should focus upon discovering what motivates the individual to success through human interaction/conversation....a simple idea in this technology-driven world. This same simple philosophy was also stressed in the ED117.

This is a great course! Not only am I learning about different generations of learners, I am also learning about myself as a learner. I work at a university where the generational cohorts vary significantly. The information provided in this course gives me an additional perspective on different learner expectations, and the reasons for these expectations.

I appreciated the opportunity this course provided to reflect on the characteristics of the 4 generations (veterans, baby boomers, Gen X and Gen Y) and apply some strategies that can be incorporated into my instructional planning. I really liked the concept of the "performance contract" to help the students take more ownership of their learning and setting goals for more effective study habits and class participation. Knowing that relevancy is VITAL to Gen Y students helped to reinforce my use of clinical experience and giving context to why they need to know this info/lesson for their career during my instruction.

I really like how this particular course breaks down each generation giving fantastic example from each era!!

This was a very interesting course I enjoyed how the Generations were described and I could visualize them in my head very well!!!!
