Course Testimonials

This course was GREAT! It has helped me a lot in my technique in teaching.

I hope all instructors get to take this course. It was very helpful, and inspiring for me. I think it made me a better educator.

I truly enjoy the class. It provided me with some great insights to improve my teaching skills.

I learned some great techniques for students with learning disabilities.

The things that I learned from the course and the participants in the forums will definitely reinforce my instructional knowledge.

I appreciate how this course stimulated my thinking about how to most effectively reach and teach my students.

This course provided me with excellent tips on how to enhance student success. Thank you!

This has been an amazingily deep course one that I will revisit again, not just for the content but for the discussions and ideas!

I enjoyed the course and thought it was very practical and I will implement many of the things I learned immediately. Thank you.

Course was well structured and covered a wide range of dynamics and a large amount of information in an organized manner. This course held my attention and learning about different ways of instructing, I feel I will greatly benefit from what I learned.

Overall, this course will help me to better monitor and motivate my students. I better understand the dynamics of having a diverse class of students who learn differently and how to manage them to get the best from all of them.

I recommend this course to anyone who is dealing with ESL students or having problems with monitoring classroom dynamics.

I learned many things that I am sure I will now be able to implement into my class. I had not really paid attention to the many ways you can assess your students, especially using online tools. The information is very useful from this course, and even though I teach a mainly hands-on subject, I will be able to use some of the ideas I have learned in this course.

Interesting content, especially with the discussion on students with learning disabilities.

The post secondary institute in which I teach, has many educationally deficient students of various ages. This type of information in this course is exactly what I needed to help my students. Understanding this course was crucial to my teaching style and overall development.

Excellent subject matter and very well presented. As a dyslexic, I can really relate to this. I also work in many overseas countries, where English is a second language, so the section on ELL was perfect. Thank you!

I have completed ED106 and I believe this lesson highlights how important it is for us to understand our learners. The lesson express that a small percentage of our students have disabilities and how important it is for us to target those students for success as well. This exercise has made me more aware and helped me to identify those student with learning disabilities so I can better prepare them in their careers. GREAT LESSON!!!!

Of all of the lessons I have taken thus far, I find ED106 to be intriguing. Understanding group dynamics and their outcomes have brought me back to a time and place where getting the students attention is rewarding. Watching their interactions with each other and the beam in their eyes in seeing their accomplishments and success has revitalized my desire to also be successful in helping them meet their goals. I am especially interested in the videotaping of instructors and having it play back for self-assessment. As lead instructor, I plan to intrude this concept and have a workshop for us to review and see how we can improve on our teaching skills. I believe if we see ourselves the way our students sees us will be helpful in making us better communicators in our field of expertise.

This was a helpful course to help me relate to instructor/student needs in the classroom.

Another good lesson. It focused on many things I have never thought about when it comes to my students and some unique challenges we might face in the classroom. I will remember this when it comes to teaching in the near future.

I learned a lot and will apply all that I learned into my teachings!

I found this course to quite informational, the example given about how students with dyslexia see words was very eye opening. It is easy to see the frustration they might have. I will put some techniques to use for helping those with learning disabilities.

This content and information will aid in the future education of cohorts.

This course was extremely helpful and informative to enable an instructor to become more skilled and sharpened for teaching their class.

I especially appreciate the techniques for supporting learners with disabilities.

I learned a lot from the section on learning disabilities. I feel more comfortable working with students with a learning disability than I did before this class.

This course was extremely beneficial for me. It helped me to not only understand my student population but also what one of my grandchildren is going through with a learning disability.

An exiting and educational course. And Learning that some people have a diverse way of learning and it is up to us as teachers guide and help those students .
